Updating Your Chromebook and Why it is Important

This video will show you how to update your Chromebook. Our IT department has attempted to have all devices update automatically, but unfortunately not all devices are doing so. Shutting down (turning off) your Chromebook once a week is good practice and allows for the devices to update.

When you keep your chromebook updated, it allows the device to continue to work smoothly. One thing the video fails to tell you is that you must restart your chromebook in order for the updates to take effect. You may need to complete the process below several times to get the latest update.
